Autotroph is an architecture, planning and consulting firm with offices in Santa Fe, NM and Baltimore, MD. We specialize in the design of community facilities, housing and transit facilities. We maintain a close knit design studio of professionals so that we can give our clients exceptional personalized service. We approach all our projects in a collaborative, team oriented manner.

Autotroph was founded in 2006 by Alexander Dzurec, an award winning architect and recognized expert in the field of sustainable design.

At Autotroph, our philosophy is to look to nature for inspiration for the design of high performance architecture. Our mission is to create high performance buildings that lead the way to a sustainable and carbon-neutral future. Through a culture of collaboration, research and innovation we design each project to meet the individual needs of our clients.
