We have a vision in honor of the energetic and resilient leader, César Chávez. César Chávez Elementary School is
a community of lifelong learners who are confident and skillful in dealing with life situations and who assume responsibility for their learning and behavior

Our School’s Operations and Functions:
Academically, we have implemented “Thinking Maps” schoolwide for the last three years. We also have implemented the utilization of GLAD strategies school-wide. In Math, we are utilizing the Everyday Math curriculum. We also have 98 students that are provided reading interventions in our Helping One Student to Succeed (HOSTS) program. This program consists of 104 volunteers. Reading interventions were provided for grades 2–5. In one fourth grade class, we piloted a health program. In two of our fifth grade classes, the Just Be It (JBI) curriculum was implemented. For two years we have piloted a Dual Language program in Kindergarten and First grade.
